The convenience store run: ice, mix and munchies

Ice, pop or mix, milk, eggs and munchies: what a convenience store run covers and how to order one.

A convenience store run covers the small things you need right now: ice, pop or mix, milk, eggs and munchies. Send us the list on our online order form or call 289-275-0767, and we will pick it up and bring it to your door.

It is the errand that is never worth the drive on its own, and that is exactly why people hand it off. Here is what it covers and how to order.

What can I get on a convenience store run?

The classics:

  • Ice for drinks and coolers
  • Pop or mix: cola, ginger ale, soda water, tonic, juice
  • Milk for the morning coffee
  • Eggs for breakfast or baking
  • Munchies: chips, chocolate bars, candy, popcorn
  • Bread and other small staples

You can see more on our convenience store page.

When does a convenience store run make sense?

Most of the time it is because something ran out at the wrong moment:

  • Guests are on the way and the ice tray is empty.
  • You have the spirits but forgot the mix.
  • There is no milk for tomorrow’s coffee.
  • The recipe calls for eggs and you have one.
  • It is movie night and nobody wants to leave the couch.
  • Someone at home is under the weather and wants ginger ale and crackers.

These are small errands, and they add up. We wait in the line so you don’t have to.

How do I order a convenience store run?

Use the order form or call us.

  • Tell us which store, or let us know any nearby convenience store is fine.
  • List what you need, with brand and size where it matters.
  • Choose a substitution preference: Call me, Closest match, or Skip it. For pop and snacks, Closest match usually keeps things simple.
  • Choose As soon as possible, or Schedule a time.

No app and no account. Dispatch, a real person, calls every online order to confirm the details and give you an approximate delivery time.

Can I add a convenience run to another order?

Yes, and it is one of the most common add-ons. A convenience stop pairs well with:

  • An LCBO or Beer Store pickup: drinks plus ice and mix in one trip.
  • Takeout pickup: dinner plus pop and dessert.
  • Groceries: the big shop plus the bits the grocery store did not have.
  • A pharmacy pickup: everyday basics plus milk and bread.

Each additional stop on the same order starts at $4. If your order includes alcohol, have photo ID ready at the door. You must be 19 or older to purchase alcohol in Ontario.

How specific should my list be?

Specific enough that we could not get it wrong:

  • “2 bags of ice” rather than “ice”.
  • “1 litre of tonic water” rather than “tonic”.
  • “Large bag of salt and vinegar chips” rather than “chips”.
  • “Dozen large eggs” rather than “eggs”.

We are personalized by design. Tell us your brand and size, and we shop the way you would.

Where do you deliver? We deliver in Ajax and Whitby, where the published delivery fee is $8.99. Brooklin, Oshawa, Courtice and Bowmanville are call for pricing. If you are not sure your address is covered, call before you order, or check our delivery areas.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Interac debit.

Send your list through the order form or call 289-275-0767. We are open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
